བཀྲ་ཤིས་བདེ་ལེགས | Tashi Delek | Greetings

Enrollment in FAll 2024 (TIB101) is now open for application!

The Tibetan language is spoken by approximately six million people on the Tibetan plateau and beyond. Learning Tibetan provides insights into one of the world’s most critical geopolitical hot spots as well as into the complex cultural history of Buddhism.

Are you interested in studying Tibetan?

The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) is offering a Tibetan language pilot program funded by the US Department of Education with the cooperation of the University of Kansas. This program allows University of Arizona students to take online Tibetan language courses taught by་ instructors at the University of Kansas at no charge.
