Workshops for K-14 Educators
Each academic year, CEAS, together with other Title VI centers on campus, organizes several short teacher development workshops for K-14 educators. Arizona teachers participate in sessions led by UA CEAS-affiliated faculty and other professionals.

A workshop to
- Define Cultural Responsiveness to establish a shared understanding.
- Explore the core components of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and address common misconceptions.
- Consider the implications of SEL specifically for students from East Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern backgrounds.
Evening workshop put on by the Center for East Asian Studies, Center for Latin American Studies, and Center for Middle Eastern Studies.

The three TVI centers at UArizona- CEAS, CLAS, and CMES, presented to TUSD teachers about the resources each center offers. The goal was to assist teachers in integrating East Asian, Latin American, or Middle Eastern cultures into their classrooms.
