CEAS Study Abroad Scholarship 2026

The application for Study Abroad 2026 is now open!

Call For Application

Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled full-time University of Arizona sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students
• 2.75 cumulative GPA
• Participants in Arizona in Kyoto, UA Seoul, our affiliated program at Konan University in Japan, affiliated program at Tunghai University in Taiwan, or any other programs approved by the Department of East Asian Studies (EAS). Please consult the EAS study abroad advisors if you have questions about whether or not the program is EAS approved:
  • Dr. Kaoru Hayashi (kaoruhayashi@arizona.edu) (Japan programs)
  • Dr. Maggie Camp (mcamp@arizona.edu) (mainland China/Taiwan/Hong Kong programs)
  • Nicole Diane Staab (nstaab@arizona.edu) (Korean and other programs)

Award specifics:

• Amount: up to two students, $1250 each
• Use Period: During Summer 2026 programs

The application packet should include:

1. Cover sheet - please include your full name, which summer program you are attending, any other scholarships you have applied for to fund the program, and if you have received any of the funding.
2. Resume/CV
3. Statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) explaining how one of these three language programs will further your career/educational goals.
