The CEAS institutional membership benefits applications for the 2023-2024 Academic Year has closed. Please look back in Spring of 2024 for the call to reopen for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Benefits

The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) is an institutional member of Association for Asian Studies (AAS), Pacific Neighborhood Consortium (PNC), and Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA). As such, we can provide the following benefits each year to University of Arizona students and faculty:

Association for Asian Studies (AAS)

One (1) complimentary graduate student registration to the AAS annual conference, plus five (5) graduate student AAS memberships. AAS graduate student memberships also include access to the AAS Career Center.

Pacific Neighborhood Consortium (PNC)

Two (2) graduate student registrations and two (2) faculty registrations to the PNC annual conference.

Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA)

Three grad student memberships; three regular memberships. 

Note: All complementary memberships are good for one year only and must be applied for each year.

Eligibility

All applicants must be affiliated with the University of Arizona. Additionally graduate students and faculty must also meet the following guidelines.

Faculty Members

Faculty must be affiliated with CEAS. If you are not yet affiliated with us but your work is related to East Asia, please contact CEAS (EAS-Center@arizona.edu) for affiliation.

Graduate Students

Your study, research, or presentation needs to be judged by CEAS staff as sufficiently relating to East Asia.

Deadlines

AAS: Open for application until the membership expires on Nov. 9, 2024.

PNC: All the membership has been given out this year. 

CLTA: All the membership has been given out this year.

Note: Although you do not have to be a presenter at the conference to qualify for these benefits, we will prioritize those who intend to present their research for the available complementary conference registrations.
