CEAS can deliver inspirational and educational speakers to your K-12 or Community College classes.
CEAS can facilitate bringing in university faculty, professionals, and students to talk to your class about East Asia. Whether it is a professor who has years of research, a professional who has mastered working in East Asia, or a student from East Asia who can talk about their life back home, CEAS can cover the topics and complexity level to match the needs of your students. Speakers from CEAS provide students with concrete examples of people who have succeeded in adapting to foreign cultures and languages. They show fluency is attainable while sharing experiences that excite and motivate students.
Case Story: Mr. Leland Lazarus
"Leland's Chinese pronunciation is better than mine!"
Mr. Leland Lazarus gave an inspirational speech to primary school students enrolled in a dual language instruction course. He called on his personal experience as a Fulbright scholar, Foreign Service officer, and speechwriter to engage with the students. His experiences and ability to speak English, Spanish, and Chinese greatly impacted the students, motivating them to aim high.
