[Roundtable] Semiconductor Manufacturing: Opportunities and Challenges to the US and Beyond

Since the passing of the CHIPS and Science Act in 2022, the semiconductor manufacturing industry has experienced a significant growth in the US. The expansion of semiconductor manufacturing companies has a global impact on international immigration and regional environments, in particular the water and land resources. This roundtable invites discussion on the changes of demographic and environment from experts in the fields of US-Taiwan relations, water resources, and international science and technology industry. The aim of the roundtable is to understand the current and future impact of semiconductor manufacturing industry on the international relations and our environment.
