Grant writing is an important skill to develop during graduate school. If you: 

  • Want to learn the ABCs of writing grant proposals; 

  • Struggle with writing a competitive grant proposal; 

  • Hope to know what the reviewers want to see in a grant proposal 

Please join us for the CEAS grant writing workshop presented by Dr. David Pietz. Dr. Pietz is a Regents Professor at the Department of History. His research on the environmental history of modern China has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Mellon Foundation, the American Philosophical Society, the Institute for Advanced Studies (Princeton), the Carnegie Foundation, and the Guggenheim Foundation. Dr. Pietz has also served on the review committee of CEAS Research Funding in 2023.
